****** SSH clients for Unix and (limited) for W95 and NT ******

This directory contains clients for the SSH2 protocol.  Use them to
connect to SSH based host systems as a replacement for TELNET and FTP.

Usage:
======

Unix:
-----

  ssh2   dutita0.twi.tudelft.nl -l username
replaces
  telnet dutita0.twi.tudelft.nl

  sftp2  dutita0.twi.tudelft.nl username
or
  scp2   file* username@dutita0.twi.tudelft.nl:/path/dir/
replaces
  ftp    dutita0.twi.tudelft.nl

W98/NT:
-------

1) Install SSHWin-2.3.0.exe on your Windows PC, start it and choose "connect"
   from the filemenu.

   This SSH2 version is a commercial client that is ONLY licensed for
   educational or charity use. Any commercial use requires a separate
   license from SSH Communications Security Ltd. (http://www.ssh.com)
   Optionally add the file transfer program WinSCP (contained in
   WinSCP2.zip).

2) Use the commandline utils from "openssh34-1.zip" . They work in the same
   way as the Unix clients.

3) Use the simple putty.exe client.

Java mindterm : (this works both for Windows and Linux !)
---------------

Mindterm is a beautiful and sophisticated SSH client under java that
will run on any platform where Java is installed, either MSW, Mac or
any Unix/Linux platform.

 - Obtain : Get mindterm.jar from http://www.appgate.com/mindterm and store
   it somewhere on your computer (that location is called <path> below).
 - Run :
  - Linux  : java -jar <path>/mindterm.jar
  - W98/NT : jview -cp:p <path>\mindterm.jar com.mindbright.application.MindTerm
  - MS-XP  : java  -cp:p <path>\mindterm.jar com.mindbright.application.MindTerm

In all cases it may be more convenient to put the command in a simple BASH 
script (.sh) or MSW batch file (.bat) instead of retyping it by hand :)
