2.6.20 kernel patch
for the OTI6858 driver based on an older 2.6.18 driver found on the Gnokii Wiki
The OTI6858 kernel driver supports the CA-42 Nokia cable with USB-ID
0x0ae0-0x6858 (and no other cables). The protocol is limited : only slow
communication using software handshaking works reliable. Therefore
"gnokii" doesn't work well and "gammu" only works (but very reliable !) with
"connection = at19200" and "port = /dev/tts/USB0" in .gammurc.
The "AT" commands do not support more advanced operations, but they makes it
at least possible to read and write your phonebook and to download/upload sms
messages and that is probably what most people want. If you want more you
probably better use InfraRed, Bluetooth or a cable with full support for
Linux (like the pl2303 based ones).
Precompiled Linux version of Open Source and OpenGL crrcsim Model Airplane
Flight Simulator
Had some trouble to compile it as GLUT and GLE were not (completely)
installed on my Slackware 9.1, but got it working after compiling an old
Glut version from the web.
I decided to make this very nice program also accessible to people with
less (or zero ;) programming skills, so here it is !
System design and management for the infrastructure of the
Technical Mathematical Analysis group. This implies Unix system management
and software design, installation and development.
Helpdesk function for C and Java programming, Unix, Linux system
management, Maple, LaTeX, Xfig, MPI and many other software packages under
Unix.
Particle Simulation methods: mainly Particle-Mesh and Tree-Code
methods (subject of my master thesis).
Some personal interests :
Our son Mark is (usually) cheering up our household since 1992.
According to some people my F650GS is one of the Best Motorcycles in the World.
My personal favorite was build in 1998 by Yamaha (a CG150CA).
