The organization would like to thank all participants for their participation to the PhDays 2007. We had a great time during the weekend! Comments can be posted on our forum. Some pictures can be found here.

Starting from 1998, the PhDays are an annual event for all PhD students Numerical Mathematics in the Netherlands and Flanders (Belgium). According to the PhDays tradition, it is held in a weekend in either Belgium or the Netherlands, with the aim of bringing the PhD students together in an informal way. Following this tradition, the PhDays 2007 are organized in the springtime of 2007 in the Netherlands.
Location: Den Elshorst (Baarschot, The Netherlands)
Period: April 27-29 , 2007
This year we shall travel to 'Het Land van de Hilver' (the state of the Hilver), a favoured location in a beautiful nature, where our large holiday-accomodation 'Den Elshorst' is situated in the small village of Baarschot. This house has a central location, both for the Netherlands and Belgium, so that it is easy to reach from all directions.

Den Elshorst lies in an awesome environment, where nature and recreation dominate. There are many possibilities for nice activities. The program is kept secret for a large part, but the traditional games and BBQ will not be missing! Details about the location and program can be found at this website.

Previous Editions
If this is the first time you would like to participate or you are still hesitating, then please visit the websites of the previous editions of the PhDays and convince yourself to join this successful event.
For the PhDays 2006 , we went to the Ardennen in Belgium, more specifically: we travelled to the 'Vallei van de Ourthe' in the small village Bérismenil. In a neighbourhood of walking routes, canoe rivers and forest hills, the large house 'Le Clair de Lune' was situated. We enjoyed our three days with almost 30 PhDays students Numerical Mathematics, see also the group picture below.

If you have questions or remarks, please feel free to contact anybody of the organization. Additionally, you can take a look at the PhDays-forum.
