start of the project: November 2005

In April 2006 the Interim Thesis has been appeared and a presentation has been given.

The Master project has been finished in November 2006 by the completion of the Masters Thesis and a final presentation has been given. For working address etc. we refer to our alumnipage.

Summary of the master project:
A correct description of the flow of natural gas in pipelines is very important for Gasunie. The flow of gas can be described by conservation of impuls and mass. We restrict ourselves to a one-dimensional approach, where friction is modelled by a friction factor. These equations can be solved by a numerical method. If a pipeline becomes leaky, a formula is used to determine the flow of the gas leaking out of the pipeline.

The aim of the master thesis is:

Pipelines in The Netherlands

Construction of a pipeline, BBL company
