Frederik von Heymann

Welcome!

I am a PhD student in the Optimization group of Karen Aardal at the TU Delft since April 2009.

In my current research the main focus is on Mixed Integer Linear Programming, Lattice Algorithms, and Geometric Optimization. But in general it is quite easy to get me fascinated  for almost any type of mathematical problem.

Before I came to Delft, I studied at the FU Berlin, where I earned my masters degree (Dipl. Math.), and subsequently worked in the group of Christian Haase for about a year.

Also, I had the luck to participate in the DocCourse Combinatorics and Geometry at the CRM in Barcelona between January and March 2009.

These two incidences are somewhat responsible for the fact that my current research interests are not yet sufficiently reflected in the preprints that are on this site so far. This will change!

Fun Fact: People who drink coffee are less likely to commit suicide than people who don't.
